Parks are always disgusting and there's always garbage everywhere. You pay a fee annually, which recently increased from 45.00 to 70.00, for grooming of the park and the community; however, parks are full of weeds and always has trash everywhere. I walk my dog 2-3 times a day and there have been times where I've walked by the same piece of trash, for well over 2 weeks, until I decided to pick it up myself. Had I known there is a fee to live in Skyview, I definitely would have not invested in property here.

Regret investing in a property in sky view ranch road apartment complex . If you are a responsible citizen /neighbor and expect the same from your fellow neighbour, then this is not the place for you . I am convinced that people who own or rent condos here do not know how to read , anyone can park anywhere and spit anywhere . People are very loud and the condo management sucks big time . Residents with two cars use the visitor parking as their other designated parking stall and the visitors end up parking anywhere they find space . There is no onsite security and people throw garbage in the parking lot .This defines what kind of a crowd lives here
If you are a homeowner, expect the HOA to want payment yet not send out their notices to the correct recipients. Then they send you to their lawyer (who doesn't answer his phone or emails)to collect fees, which threatens they will have a bailiff come to your house to collect 45 you owe. I never received a letter in 3 years addressed to homeowner. But instead miraculously received a Lawyer's letter DEMANDING payment for HOA fees. I called Jonathan McKearney who then told me it was Canada Post's fault and not HOA. If I do not pay these lawyer fees (I paid the HOA fees owed, late fees and interest) plus 10 for each letter I had never received, I will have an encumbrance on my land title!!! They also want to increase these fees each year, this year, nearly double from what it was.. We are paying for something called "beautification" in this area, and litter cleanup. Yet this area is not well maintained and there are NO services available to us. They also take days to respond to any of our concerns. We are also paying for a flag that is only up on some days, (faded, where you cannot even see what's on it, that nobody cares about!). You Jonathan are a crook, and should be voted out. Taking money from the working class to gain power and control to most likely pay your friends/family whom you've hired to do services in the community. HOA gives disclosure, just enough to get you off their backs, when really they are an UNETHICAL organization. No wonder there is no tenure at the the Association. DO NOT BUY IN SKYVIEW RANCH! I've lived here for 3.5 years now and have had nothing but headaches with HOA, and Astoria (their property management company) ever since. BUYER/RENTER BEWARE!!! They are crooks and want all your money!

Great community. There will always be odd ones--the loud and irresponsible on their property. Do your homework first, check the surrounding when it's not staged for selling. This is a great starter area, and will definitely buy my next property here. UPDATED: Moved away from this neighborhood. It just went downhill. Too many reckless drivers. Noisy. Not enough amenities.
