Sunday take out for Mom's 95th birthday! The food was freshly made and tasty. Ginger beef, ss pineapple chicken, chowmein, beef and vegetables, rice. Mom loved it, me too!

Good and hot food! We ordered four dishes for take out: sweet and sour chicken with pineapple, shredded ginger beef, pan fried mixed vegetables, and Cantonese chow mein. What shows in these pictures is what's left after four of us had our fill, so lots of food to start with. Would recommend, for sure.
This has been my favourite Chinese restaurant for over a decade. They have the BEST ginger beef! However, we ordered right at 5pm on NYE for pick up and they said our food would be ready in 1.5 hours, which is WAY longer than normal (pre-covid). I showed up with my toddler at the quoted time and wait for an hour outside/in the car before taking my daughter home as it was nearing her bedtime and we were both getting cranky. I finally got a call at 8pm that our food was ready. I figured they took on too many orders or something which was the cause for the delay. We also didn't receive one of the dishes we ordered and paid for and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone who said he would look into it never called me back. We ordered again tonight and was extremely disappointed that our food was not ready at the quoted time. My husband had to wait an additional 45 minutes before our order was ready. It breaks my heart to receive this level or service and have to consider finding a new favourite.
Shanghai Classic is the best Chinese food in Calgary! Every dish is so flavorful and delicious. My family and I have been coming here for years and it is always tasty
We went with a party of 5. We ordered 6 dishes and it was plenty of food. The dumplings were big, crispy and juicy. Everything came out so fresh and steaming hot. We will definitely be back!
