One of the few places in downtown that offers All-Day Breakfast and organic ingredients & coffee at an affordable price. I am really happy that Redouane of Red 1's Kitchen has finally a restaurant of his own. I loved his food at Bistro Alma (University of Calgary Campus). I am looking forward to trying everything on his seasonal menu. So far, my favourites are Pizza A La Roma and Mexican Chicken Lime soup. Also, their Sable Cookies are freshly made every morning. They are to die for. I always buy at least 3 to go! This is an excellent place for a good conversation/date. Lounge/Jazzy Music is not too loud, and you can actually talk there. It's nice to be able to bring my clients here. The food presentation is incredible and feels like a high-end, expensive restaurant, even though it's not. The vibe is really friendly with that homemade feel to it. I am looking forward to going back whenever I can. You can see how passionate the Chef is about the food he makes. I also like that he actually wears professional Chef uniform. The food is definitely worth that 5 min wait. I also love that you can pre-order your food online on their website and avoid the wait all together. This is a must-try in Calgary Downtown.
