Our family's experience with Qualicare, the caregivers and the organization, has been fantastic! We have been using their services for almost a year in support of my 94 year old father, both in his own home and in Long Term Care. The professionalism, skill, and compassion of the Qualicare caregivers has been exceptional as they have expertly supported my father's needs around choking prevention at meals, mobility support and personal care. The Qualicare caregivers follow every detail of the careplan but also are responsive and respectful to other needs (eg. companionship) that emerge while spending time with my Dad. At first my father was a little reluctant to accept the extra help and was worried that his independence was going to be taken away, however the Qualicare caregivers know how to strike a balance between providing vital care while still allowing for self-reliance and independence of the individual. My Dad so looks forward to Jessica coming each morning and gives her a big smile when she walks through the door. We couldn't be more thrilled with the support our Dad is getting and how well he is flourishing with the care from Qualicare. Thank you Qualicare!

We engaged Qualicare after hearing a recommendation from another health care professional whom I respect very much. We had members of their staff help me when my 95 year old mother was discharged from hospital to the care of myself and my sister. Covid restrictions meant we could not see her go to another institution. I was delighted with both caregivers that they sent to my home - knowledgeable and caring. We continued to engage Qualicare when her illness advanced and transfer to hospice became necessary. Despite hospice having a lower patient ratio than acute care, the staff are still exceedingly busy and we appreciated having some respite from daily feeding assistance. We were able to enjoy some downtime knowing that Mom was well cared for when we were not there.

Used Qualicare to supplement the Home Care in-home services for my mother. My mother's health issues are complex. Dementia and wheelchair bound. I was only able to use Qualicare for about 1 month till my mother moved to Long Term Care facility. Tina worked very well with my mom and had good handle on the challenges. I highly recommend Qualicare.

I was very impressed with the service and care we received by Qualicare. I contacted them to provide care for my 88 year old father so that I could go on a much needed holiday. I was very late in organizing his care, however, Qualicare had no problem setting up a care program in a day! My father received excellent care while Inwas away and this in turn allowed me to relax and enjoy myself, I had peace of mind. I highly recommend Qualicare and will definitely use them again when I next need to take a break.

Initially, 2 years ago, Qualicare did a fabulous job of looking after my elderly father. The companionship and care that their nurses provided daily for my father allowed him to get out of the house, visit his favourite places, and lead a normal life after the loss of his drivers license. Since that time, possibly some key person has left, I don't know, their service has diminished to absolutely terrible. For the past year now, we've been trying to get their caregiver to do the simplest possible task - just check his toiletries and re-stock when necessary. Simple, right? Well apparently it's impossible for them to do. That's literally all we ask of them besides just taking him out for an outing, no real nursing services involved. We've given them 4 emails now over the past year with detailed instructions of how to do this (like detailed instructions should even be necessary for a 'nursing' service). But, we continue to find that he has no shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, etc. How hard is this????? We are basically paying to have somebody go out for lunch with him once a week. Yep, getting paid to go for lunch and nothing else. How stupid is that? In any event, we are dropping Qualicare now and will be switching to one of the other 50 or so services available in Calgary.
