I brought my PS3 to Killasoft for a YLOD (Yellow Light Of Death) issue. My first impressions were much better than I had initially thought they'd be. Being in a basement rather than a "professional" repair shop, I had assumed I would see the usual biased "back-yard" scenario with parts strewn about, etc. It was quite the opposite. Everything in the main room was neatly organized and professional, with assorted screws organized into containers and all the parts and other units neatly stacked on the shelves. Dan was excellent to be around as well, not only displaying an intricate knowledge of what he does, but also explaining every detail of what he's currently doing while he works, alleviating many of the worries involved when wondering whether the person working on your prized possession knows what he's doing, rather than following rehearsed steps obtained from some random website. The "reflow" (reheating the solder on the board to cause it to "flow" into the cracks made by heating and flexing) fixed the issue I initially came in for. The PS3 started working again. Dan began testing the system, running it for a while to make sure everything was successful. In my particular situation, it seems that the broken solder issue was actually symptom of another issue, rather than the cause of the issue itself, and the PS3 shut down after about 10 minutes. After Dan continued to test, only for the issue to happen again 10 minutes later, he turned to me and said "I can't warranty this device due to it still being unstable". When I asked him how much I owed him for the hour he spent fixing/testing/explaining, as well as the extra half hour he spent with the odd issue in my PS3, he simply said "It's not working. So, nothing." For all the extra time he spent, I attempted to at least give him 20 but he just wouldn't accept it. I fully recommend Killasoft, and regardless of the previous result, I intend to bring all my future console issues there.

Hi there guys i really recomend that place if u have your technical issues with ur consoles, i went to bunch of different places in calgary and they couldnt fix it or they wanted a lot of money. Good thing about that place is that 1) your problem will always be solved. 2)Everything done in a verry proffesional way 3)it doesnt take a long time plus you can get your system a warranty which i think is a great idea Got my xbox fixed there now im enjoing gaming like never before :)
