Doesn't look like a quality place from outside. Once you get in and taste the food , you'll be blown away by the quality. To me, this was one of the best cuisines I ever visited in Calgary. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. The quality of the food is top notch. Everything there is made with love and precision:). You'll not regret visiting this place.

A friend recommended this place and he was right, the food, service, and atmosphere are amazing. Jon was our server for the night, and he was incredibly attent, guiding us on the menu and best vegetarian options for our first time in the restaurant and also trying Nepalese food. We ordered the vegetarian mommo, one curry dish and one stir fry. The mommos are a most on the visit, and the stir fry was the best for the mains,with unique flavours that you wouldn't find in other cusines. All dishes comes with bread, rice, and carrots. Overall a great experience, 100% recommended.
The food was absolutely fantastic. We got the fish hot plate which was delicious. The spices are so unique and they are blended perfectly. You get a great amount of food and the price is so reasonable, my partner and I got 2 beers, an appetizer, two main dishes and a dessert for 80. The service was incredible and the waiter helped answer all of our questions as we had never had food from Nepal before. A MUST visit.
Ordered a chicken curry, the pork dumplings (momo), and extra naan bread to enjoy between two people. We were stuffed after the meal and everything was so good! As we were visiting from Edmonton, we asked the front staff his recommendations and he was extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant for something a little different but hearty.
They’ve renovated since the last time I’d been. It’s really nice inside. The staff is super nice and helpful. Always checking up on us to see if everything is good and if we needed anything. We stayed and chatted after dinner and they didn’t rush us out the door. The food was great. At first it didn’t look like a lot of food but boy was it filling. The flavours are very similar to Indian food but sweeter. It’s almost a combination of Indian and Chinese food. The dumplings were sooo good. The sauce that it came with was so tasty. That sauce also cane out with our food. We ordered 3 dishes for the 3 of us to share. The lamb was delicious. Everything was really good. We got everything mild and there’s no bite at all. Next time we will try medium.
Absolutely delicious food with the most congenial server who was happy to answer our questions! Good portion size and wonderful blends of different spices with three levels of heat... I went for medium and will try the hot next time! They offer various meat as well as vegetarian options, the four of us loved it all and promised ourselves to return!!!

We usually get the same order from Himalayan, which is the Dal Bhat - so full of flavour and we love it so much every time that we never order a different item. This time, we decided to order take out and our regular dish is dine-in only, so we decided to try new dishes. We got the garlic chicken, bhuteko shrimp stir fry and chatpat lamb. I CANNOT explain in words how incredible our meal was. The flavours were phenomenal. I've never tasted a better stir fried eggplant (that was part of the shrimp dish). I can say with confidence Himalayan is one of the best restaurants in Calgary. We are so lucky to have it as an option!
