The staff was very friendly and helped me out tremendously. I was looking for glasses alone which could be a huge disappointment. The staff updated me on the sales and how to identify the pricing. They allowed me some time to search through, and came by to make sure I was alright. They helped me pick out multiple frames and narrow it down to the 2 I chose. Both ladies working at the time were friendly and helpful and not at all pushy. They direct billed and I was on my way. I was given a 1 1/2 - 2 week estimate and am looking forward to receiving my new glasses. :D

After having dealt with this company and this location for 10 years, I have decided to never do business with this organization again. I can't decide if the problem is incompetence or complete disregard for the customer's time and satisfaction. After having reported my concern to the head office I was assured that I would hear from the local area manager before end of day. The following evening I received a call from someone explaining to me how difficult it is to manage the Calgary market without a District Manager. He assured me that he was working hard to solve his problem but was less sympathetic to mine. This company clearly spends the majority of their money on marketing and little to no money on staff training.
In recent years I had hard time finding large eyeglasses as I have a large head :D I had my prescription before so I went there only to buy a pair of eyeglasses. Surprisingly I found two lovely pairs of large frames that fit my head and they had reasonable prices. Today, I got them with lenses installed and so far so good. The service was good and the lady helping me was very patient. The only things that I did not like was after one of the staff measured my PD (Pupillary Distance), I asked her how much is it and she answered "It's a secret!" and refused to provide it.
Worst service ever! picked some frames, gave my prescription, and was told they would be ready in 2 days. I waited 5 and never heard back from anyone, so I had called Hakim for an estimation on when the glasses would be done. I was told by a lady that they only had one lens for my glasses so far, and they didn't have the other one, but she would run to a different location and get my second lens, she told me she would give me a call the next day and i could for sure come pick them up. 3 days went by and I had to take my daughter in for an appointment with Hakim for an eye exam. After her exam I had asked if I could pick up my prescription. They found my frames, and there was still only one lens in the box. At this time, I started getting frustrated, and the lady and gentleman at the counter could tell, so they had let me know that as soon as Monday came, they assured me that I could come and grab my glasses and than they would give me a call. It is now Wednesday, I called to let them know that I still haven't received a call and that I wanted to grab my glasses on my lunch break. Not to any surprise my frames and lenses have still not been done. There were not courtesy calls to let know what was happening, i just kept getting the run around and passed on to the next guy for when the frames would be done, or why they have not been done at the time i was told. I will be going in for a refund and never looking back at that place again. I would never recommend ANYONE to this place. I wouldn't even give it a star if possible. Quite a shame really, i really liked the frames they had.
If I could give less than a 1/5, I would. A friend and I were both in there looking for new glasses; didn't get so much as a "hello" when we walked in, until the optometrist asked us if we needed help with anything. My friend asked if they do eye exams, to which the optometrist said, "yes, but you need to make an appointment first", even though she was standing there doing nothing the entire time we were there; she could have easily done an eye exam in that time. Staff sat around talking while we looked at their disarray of frames for over an hour without being offered assistance. When we finally got fed-up with the lack of customer service, we walked out; the first and last words one of the ladies said to us was, "finished?". Would never return. Dirty, disorganized, unhelpful, and unprofessional.
This location is only getting a 2 star as they are still better then the crowfoot location. The customer service is a bit better but they still seem annoyed and not wanting of anyone's business. If you want a good experience take a drive down to the shawnessy location
Large selection, Helpful staff. Needed a small adjustment with my sunglasses, It was taken care of, no questions asked. I will be getting my family glasses here in the future.
I had an eye exam and received glasses from this place. Both of these were great. The service there however was ridiculous. People were rude when helping you. I also phoned in asking for contacts 5 times. Every time they said they would call me back. They still haven't from any time I have called.
