I'm a single father of 5, 2 in highschool, 1 in junior high and 2 in elementary. I have friends that are on Alberta works aswell, and from what they told me, it feels I'm having to jump through hoops. I've had my benefits held for the last two months now. No GST or ccb as I filed a little late. Just moved into a new place and still nothing. I've had the career guide and the financial worker treat me as if I can easily just leave my younger two unattended. Felt like I should've changed offices.

Gabriel Arok is incredibly unprofessional in how he manages his position at this office. Hanging up on clients, pulling information without informing his clients, and not actually working as an Employment and Career Consultant. I’ve had to source employment assistance from the Mustard Seed while being an active client of his for the past 8 months. Very comfortable in his position, and absolutely disrespectful to people in person (pre COVID) and through other forms of communication. I am most likely not alone in this treatment from staff here.
I know the workers are trying to do their jobs and that's appreciated, but the service of getting proper answers and proper help needs more attention, it's as though they look down on you and belittle you, I am a single mom looking for job my son in kindergarten have no one here but still they will tell me you have to do something with yr son, I cannot find a job much less a 9 to 5 one..They will stop your check no explanation rent due and everything and it's like no one cares,
Just left the office after an intake meeting with Valerie. I have a place to stay but they would rather see me on the streets with 2 cats and a dog then issue my check. Today is the 3rd rent is due on the 1st, but now it will take 5 business days unless i get a written eviction notice to the place in which i just signed a lease. Then they will release my check...what about this is right. Valerie doesn't consider late rent to be important. Her rudeness was noted. And thanks to her i will have to relocate again. Happy holodays indeed
Unless. Better off getting a job then trying to call or email them your monthly report they never pick up.

Place is like a daycare some days. Good access to printer...but no colour :-(
It is organized but they don't make you feel valued as a person
