The best Chinese restaurant in Calgary!!! Me and my friend came here several times. We tried some dim sum and entree dishes and they are all delicious! They also have outstanding service which matches their food quality. Even the time when it was super busy at the restaurant, the waitress still provided us great service.
Good food, went on Christmas Eve, busy but not too bad. They forgot my BBQ pork. Had to go all the way back to get it, but they made up for it by giving me a free salt n pepper squid. I will be going back food is really good.
Being from Toronto I’m picky with Chinese food. I’ve lived in Calgary for almost 14 years and this might be the best, most authentic, and most diverse menu in the city. They speak mandarin and Cantonese too. Even my parents who are from China thought it was great! We had a veggie dish, a beef dish w veggies, crystal fold, Peking duck (skin in wraps), birds nest noodles, and pork ribs. They were all excellent. They must use little to no MSG because none of us got thirsty after or had headaches. All the ingredients were fresh, the portions were very generous, the texture of the meat was spot on. The only thing I would say is that when they cut the Peking duck, they used too much meat instead of just having skin and fat. Weird I know. We will only order from them, and they give 10% off on orders over a low threshold of 35 I believe.
I ordered 7 dishes inside the restaurant and it took about 15 minutes to be ready (very quick). Some are fresh and hot like mapo tofu and long beans but others, salt and pepper squids, ginger chicken and beef are dry and even hard to chew. They were fresh and delicious before but not today, We are so disappointed and will look for other Chinese restaurants.
The food was pretty good. The price were very reasonable for the size of food. Very good Chinese seasoning here. Very busy definitely have reservation here. Want one of the best Peking duck you can get in town their choice of sauce is very seasoned well. The downfall the reason I rated 3 stars it is because the service was not that great they took forever to refill our teapot and take away our dirty dishes. We order crab and lobster and they did not even clear out all the dirty plates. Usually they would give you new plates to eat with crab and lobster. We spent over 200 to 300 dinners I would expect much better service.
My 1st Chinese restaurant visit after COVID-19 started, clean environment. They offer very good dim sum and BBQ pork. I am impressive such tenacious for details of the flavors, fresh and delicious.
Their black bean sauce beef was really good, but spicy (salty?), but it’s good. Fast service, decently clean washroom, decently friendly staff. Would like to go back again.
