Alberta Adoption Agency: Calgary, Edmonton & Alberta Homepage FAQ More News Release and letter to clients and stakeholders,   After careful consideration of several factors, the Board of Directors of Adoption By Choice Ltd. is saddened to announce their decision to close the agency as of July 30, 2020. The need for services to birth parents who are making an adoption plan has declined. Currently there are four licensed adoption agencies in Alberta. We know that this news will come as a shock to many; the staff and Board of Directors will be rolling out our plan of next steps for the clients and stakeholders of ABC.  If you are a current client of Adoption By Choice you will be contacted to set up an appointment to discuss your individual file and the options available to you. We will do our best to meet with each client as soon as possible. To contact us directly, please email us at [email protected]. The Board of Directors would like to thank the community of Alberta as well as Alberta Children Services for the privilege of providing adoption services for over 31 years. We extend our sincere gratitude to Carol Lamb, the founder of Adoption By Choice for her courage and vision in developing adoption services for Alberta. She provided dedicated service for over 20 years.
