The trailhead is a little hard to find. Enter from behind the Harry Jerome Sports Centre dome. Lots of slippery stairs does not make this a very accessible route. It can be challenging for some and is definitely a wet sloppy trail.

A beautiful, short trail to hike and adventure. Beautiful view on the top of the trail. 24/7 and free, access with other trails.

Very nice and short but not super easy trail.

A great trail to walk and it is connected to the Burnaby Mountain trail network. The City has done a lot of work on the trail and does a good job on keeping the area maintained.

Velodrome trail is a perfect hike - Great view of the city, easy hike, beautiful park (Burnaby Mountain Conservation park) and well connected by public transportation and Evo. If you start your hike from SFU, expect to pass through Burnaby Mountain Conservation park for a great view, and follow the way to Pandora trail which later (770m) merges with Velodrome trail aka 500 stairs down. It is an easy way down and also connects to the trail leading to Barnett park (closer to the water). How to get there - 1. EVO: It is easy to get to by an Evo. Since Evo only has a parking zone at SFU, you need to park up near West Mall, go down this trail and then climb back up if you want to take an Evo down. All in all, great exercise (10K steps, 60 floors). 2. Public transportation - If you’re in downtown, easiest way is to take the 95 B-line all the way to the last stop!
