Consistently good food and reasonably priced. Service is typical of most Asian restaurant. Just sub par. But the food makes up for the service. XLBs were amazing. Skin fully intact and full of juice. Deep Fried Glutinous Rice Cake is another amazing dish if you like glutinous rice (sweet rice). Taking away one star because it’s only cash transactions. No contactless payment during a pandemic.

Been to here few times Shanghai good pretty authentic. Price is about right plenty of parking.
food is great, kitchen is fast with our order: the first dish arrived within 5 mins. but service is not great: don't expect highly attentive service (the servers are visibly overtaxed and working hard) but once you get their attention, the order/request goes through. some really tasty flavours and appetizing dishes. decent value for money spent.
Overall mediocre! The signature dishes such as soup dumplings and crispy dumplings were done right. Their cold appetizers such as ma lang tou and 3 yellow chicken were disappointing. Both dishes were not fresh as you can tell from the colour of the veg and chicken skin. They were probably made days ahead and didn't get to use all of them. In addition, neither were seasoned properly and the chicken is overcooked! Unfortunately it's one of the few Shanghainese restaurant in Burnaby so I'd still go back if I'm craving for soup dumplings.
Portion was good and most dishes were satisfactory. However the service was really bad. I guess the way how servers communicate was just very direct. When asking for recommendations the server replied “whatever u like just order” I guess he was right, it really depends what I like. However I would really appreciate server spend some time to understand his customer. Other than that food was good, my families like it. Tables are really close to each others and the layout is weird. Don’t bring guests over Cus there is no ambiance, no plating as well.
