This review is only for the emergency. Why the front desk ladies are in interrogation mode..!!!! I talked with two of them...it seems like they are from border service.!!! After the reception (!!!!), rest of the experience with doctor and nurses were good. Update: My second experience with both front desk and doctor was good.

This review is for the emergency/triage department only, once it would be unfair to evaluate the entire hospital to a single star because of what those nurse ladies did: I - The pacient comes to the emergency triage department and states to be feeling unwell, he then asks for someone to perform the simple blood pressure exam. II - The ladies tells the pacient that every exam would occur only under previous appointment, regardless of the complexity, and says that he should look for this assistance in a pharmacy. III - The patient then states that he has already been in three different pharmacies looking for such exam, but due to Cod-vid protocols, none of them are doing this anymore. IV - The nurse agent insists that Superstore is still doing this regardless. Then, when he asks if the place where she is standing is really a hospital, she just states it is. V - He lefts the place, goes to Superstore and finds that just like everywhere else, their pharmacy is also not performing such exam. VI - He then realizes that if she firmly believes in her own answer, it is either because all previous patients who went there for the same purpose before him, finded themselves hopeless in Superstore unwilling to see that nurse's face again and went to another hospital, or they simply died from heart diseases before they could go back to the hospital again. The end.
Burnaby Hospital (the ER and Ward) is the only hospital (I have been in Surrey Memorial and RCH) where I have been treated with respect, dignity and felt heard. I cannot thank the incredible medical staff here for treating not just my needs, but me as a person.
The worst emergency I have ever seen in my life! The registration and triage are fast in sending patients inside but the nurses and doctors really don’t simply bother to even notice the patient’s health issues, they’ll let patient die : the nurse makes you sit inside a room and roam around here and there, and do what feel like. I’m currently in bloody burning ear pain and whole left side and doctor didn’t even come ! After couple hours of waiting in exam hour getting no help, doctor came, and said to go home and take Tylenol. Is this even fair?
Really bad service, waiting for 4 hours after registration and triage visit and nothing happened. Left the hospital whiteout any doctor visit. Bad management bad patient care
