The Works in Burlington make a very good burger. The patty is very very large and other places that make such a big patty, fail as the patty overpowers the burger and typically does not taste well. Good burger needs a nice balance between the bun, toppings and the patty. The works make it work. With covid its tough to wait outside and you don't know when to come in for your order so its a bit disorganized, but the burger was very good. The fries seem to be a throw in, they just get dumped in the container and don't do the meal justiice. Overall its a very very good burger. Really huge patty.. but good. On my sons burger list it ranks #2 out of 15. 1. Hero, 2. The Works, 3. Homemade, 4. Webers, 5. South St burger, 6. A&w, 7. BK, 8. Harvey's, 9. Fatburger, 10. burger factory, 11. DQ, 12. five guys, 13. MCDs, 14 wendys. 15, local independent.

The service was very good. They gave free refills and were efficent in delivering the food and taking special requests kindly. The only downside is we had to wait 30-40 minutes for the food, although that's expected at a restaurant like this. The food itself was very good. There was a variety of options and there was an abundance of everthing. The highlight of the day was the pountine, which came as a side to one of the burgers (we had to pay 2 extra dollars though.) It came in a bowl big enough for two people, with enough delicious gravy, cheese and meat to cover most of the fries. Overall, it was a good exprience and I would recommend it.

Little slow to be seated however with the current guidelines in place I think they did the best they could especially with our size family group. The servers were very kind and fast when it came to ordering and getting our food and drinks out to us. I love that they have free soft drink refills and they are served in 2 cup measuring cups filled nearly to the rim and kids get the 1 cup measuring cups. The food protions are big for me (I ordered the tragically poutine.. could feed 2 adults **it was delicious!**) The kids meals are massive and very well priced; you get a main, side, drink with refills and a dessert which was also a generous size. Definitely recommend.

Even though it's a chain and chains tend to have not as great quality, it's hard to find other burger joints with as many great options. From beef to elk to vegetarian/vegan options, the Works has it all. The quality of ingredients is great and although it's pricey, it's definitely worth the . They also have gluten free buns so there's really something for everyone.

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat! Be warned, you better have an empty stomach and an elastic belt!
