This is an amazing toy store. It has free parking in the back. There is a selection of toys right from toys for babies through toddlers and to older children. There are educational toys like build your own robot as well as pure fantasy items like dress up ball gowns. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Always cool toys you normally can't find anywhere else. Including the points you earn with every purchase it's worthwhile shopping local and saving money.
We have shopped at both the Oak Bay and the Sidney locations. Always enjoy our trips to the shops. Their selection is amazing. Lots of great quality brands that you won't find at big box stores. We got our daughter the Hape kitchen, fridge and most of her kitchen accessories from Buddies. Later on when we wanted to add a train/play table to her room, we chose to go back to Buddies for the Hape play table as well. Staffs are very helpful and very knowledgeable.
The staff at buddies toys really makes the difference for us. They are welcoming, and friendly. They do birthday boxes, with the birthday child picking out their favourite things, which can make it easier for older family members to shop. A good selection of neat toys.
Be careful your child doesn't decide that this is a regular stop. This is a bright, clean and well-stocked toy store, with an eye towards the more traditional learn-while-playing stock - great to see! They have a wide range of toys that cover all ages up to the early teenagers, including a sizable shelf by the door full of figure-it-out experiments and the like. I'm also partial to Playmobil, and it's a bonus that all the better shops in Victoria are well-stocked in this delightful line of toys, Buddies included. Playmobil has really expanded and refined their lines over the decades, and this store stocks an excellent selection for all ages and tastes. Puppets and 'play costumes' are stocked here as well, to my delight - all are well-made, especially the costumes, of which there are dozens to choose from. They're exactly the sort of thing I'd have loved to have had as a kid, far better than the knotted towels and cardboard I made do with. The selection of boardgames also gets a nod, again for the variety of age groups and game types represented. Though there's not a lot of them compared to dedicated game stores, it's a sure bet you'll find at least one game that piques your interest each time you visit. I'd definitely come back here more often, just for that fact!
