Very well done museum. Educational while also entertaining. Gives you a real appreciation for what the experience was like for miners. Going inside the mine and seeing some of the equipment they used was great. Highly recommend it.

Came with my family on July 29, 2020 and we all had a great time having fun and learning about the history of the copper mine site, the underground mining experience, and the Mill processing. I particularly enjoyed the BOOM! multi-sensory show with state-of-the-art special effects that felt like it brought me back in time. The underground tour was entertaining, educational, and inspiring. I left having a great understanding and appreciation of copper mining, the town of Britannia, and the environment. This is a great attraction for many families with excellent COVID-19 safety measures in place. I’m glad we came to visit!

I’m not a lover of historic places, but this one really made me go “Wow”! The entire experience was absolutely fantastic. Loved ‘The Underground’ train ride and exhibit and also ‘The Boom’. Highly recommend visiting this place if in Squamish ️

Recently I paid a second visit to the museum, this time with my 6 year old grandson. We try to visit a museum every few months which he seems to enjoy. The Britannia museum was different, he was extremely enthusiastic, engaged with the underground tour guide. He found the underground and particularly the “boom” exciting. His reaction is particularly important to me as I spent my entire professional life exploring and mining throughout the world. Our visit ended on a negative note as my question regarding potential copper resources was met with a diatribe against mining. I respect the guide’s right to an opinion but I object to using the captive audience at this mining museum to further her agenda. I think more hands on, season appropriate activities for children would be a welcomed addition. We will come back when the weather warms up.

My woman and I had the pleasure of visiting here a couple weeks ago and after a year of dating she said it's the best thing we've done so far. It's a truly spectacular experience for anyone and everyone that I can't recommend enough. My advice is to give yourself lots of time (3 hours at the very least) because there's just so much to see and do. The Underground Tour & The BOOM Show are the main shows but the site itself is just such a nice place to be with so much to appreciate. Plus the drive in from Vancouver is gorgeous.
