I have just completed my second survey with Victor, for a float home. The first, last summer, was for my 36’ cabin cruiser. After Victor completed that survey, he told me that he would have a copy ready to email within 2 days. That night, he would up in emergency and was scheduled for surgery the following day. He assured me that he would still have the survey completed within the day following. He was true to his word, and my survey was there. For the float home, Victor even talked to the insurance broker about the repairs required, and negotiated on my behalf for providing insurance. I can’t say enough about Victor's knowledge, punctuality and professionalism, as well as the fact that he’s just so accommodating & personable. He’s simply a delight to deal with. I highly recommend Victor to anyone who wants the job done right, on time, and in great depth.
Review: Victor is an amazing source of knowledge and he is extremely helpful with making sure the boat is the right fit for you, and that the boat is property fitted with the required safety equipment. As well as a surveyor, he is a mechanic, instructor and will help you pilot your boat till you are confident yourself. He works with many other local boat services to ensure you get your boat all the proper care and maintenance to protect your investment. As well, he is a kind and patient man and his lovely wife is also very kind and very helpful too. Thank you Victor, for making our new boat life so much less stressful in the transition. I purchased a 41' 1974 Canoe Cove Tri-cabin June of 2019. I had Victor manage a 50,000 refit and upgrade to my complete satisfaction. Victor has amazing knowledge of all things Marine. Too mechanical servicing companies could not fix an overheating problem on both engines, Victor identified the problem immediately and using Precision Yacht services to complete the repairs with minimal cost. Victor gave me a comprehensive binder explaining all the systems aboard which has been extremely valuable. I have been on the water since I was 15 years old but was not comfortable with a 41' boat. Over a ten hour period with Victor instructing me in docking and close quarter handling. I am now very comfortable getting in and out of any dock. Thanks Victor.
I cannot say enough good things about victor of pacific coast marine surveyors. His professionalism, knowledge and experience easily make him the best marine expert I have had assist me with my boat purchase/sale and mechanical advice. Not only did he treat my boat like it was own, his prices are extremely fair. I HIGHLY recommend Victor to anyone seeking a marine surveyor!
Embarrassingly bad service. Showed up to do a survey of a boat in our possession. Vic insisted on driving the boat and became very defensive when he was told that he could not pilot the boat as he did not have permission to do so. Later on when Vic showed up to take a look at the bottom of the boat (hauled out) his assistant was incredibly rude and dismissive with zero provocation, we were simply trying to ask why they were on the marina property. The car they arrived in was unmarked, they didn't state what company they were from, and they didn't give a business card or offer any words that could pass as "customer service."
Victor did a survey on our boat and I am so pleased with the survey he gave us. It really helped us with the sell of the boat. He was professional and courteous throughout the process.
Victor's years of experience, knowledge and wisdom gave our family the comfort to walking away from a bad deal and then end up closing on the perfect boat for us. He performed a thorough and professional survey and we'll certainly be calling him up for any future work.
