A shrine to science...It's the home of the great inventor Alexander Graham Bell who stayed here with his parents after moving in to Canada from Scotland. It's here that he invented the telephone. So we owe our luxury of connectivity to this man and yes to Edison to invent the microphone later which helps us talk over call civilly and not shout at top of our lungs. The home is on Tulela lane at Brantford across the River. The home is simple and in midst of nature... testimony to the simple life that propelled the inventor to many patented inventions and led to establishment of Bell communications. A knowledgeable tour to know about this great man.must visit

A nice historic place to visit. The house is kept and preserved in pristine condition and tours are available every hour. Apart from being a birthplace of great scientific discovery, the place in itself is a quintessential representation of 1800s architecture and interior design. The oil lamps, light fixtures (though most converted into electric) give a neat authentic vibe, so does a high end step stove in kitchen. Its a must see for science/history fanatics out there as well as everyone else.

Very nice musuem. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the homestead. The musuem is very nice and very good value for the money. The grounds are nice and good to wonder around. The grandchildren had a good time running around. The gift shop is small with a couple of good things but not much else. The cafe is not open on a Sunday which is disappointing.

If you are in Brantford, it may be worth the drive here. There is a gift shop and plaques with lot of information. The barn for some unique photos for 'the gram' is not to be missed
