Sculpture: Young Canada by Manfred Pirwitz

This beautiful and dynamic sculpture is installed at southwestern corner of Ken Whillans Square, few steps from Brampton City Hall. Statues of three young women, absolutely delightful to look at, with astonishingly aged bronze patinas, elusive colors changing by brightness of light, dedication to detail, with each of the statues representing abundance of joyful and youthful life. What a powerful expression of "Young Canada". My profuse applause! Sculptor Manfred Pirwitz is mostly known for his Terry Fox Monument, situated in the outskirts of Thunder Bay. Intriguing enough, I heard that sculpture is turning around during the summer. I really want to see that. Absolutely worthy the effort. Yours to discover.
