I've seen first hand that the owner of CanCam, Tom really cares about his customers. If you're worried about being left in the dust with no support, this absolutely isn't the case. You can certainly go through the painstaking process of getting a cheaper CNC router direct from China, getting it CSA approved, dealing with the import paperwork, fixing all the small problems with it when you receive it, struggle with support lines that are not in your time zone, and the manuals that are not in English... But if you're looking for a reliable machine and reliable support to make the commissioning and running of a new machine simple and easy I would highly recommend CanCam and Tom's services/products.

I was looking for CNC bits in the Durham region and came across CanCam in Whitby. Knowing next to nothing about CNC , Tom the owner treated me like a long lost customer, spending time with me explaining some things I needed to know. Every time I go their I am greeted by Simon, calling me by name. I have since been so impressed with these guys I sold my other machine and purchased one from them. Eric in service brought it to my shop , set it up and got me going. Just wanted to say thanks to a great team.

CNC Router B1-44M is completely worth the buy!! I ordered this customized 3 foot X 4 foot vacuum table CNC router about a year and half ago. Tom and Mikhael at CanCam have been excellent in their customer support if any is needed. Great customer service is absolutely essential and CanCam provides. I have used the B1-44M to cut all of my customized jigs for my other woodworking machines to increase their versatility. Jigs including a double tilting drill press table, router jigs for my lathe and various crosscut sleds for my table saw. It is an absolute joy to design something in your CAD software and have come to life in very little time with complete accuracy! Everything in my eCommerce store has either been completely made or touched by the B1-44M CNC Router. I could never go back to a shop that doesn't include a CNC Router! The future is here and in order to stay competitive in today's market a CNC Router is a must. I will be a returning to CanCam when I upgrade to a much larger machine with an automatic tool changer.
