I adopted a former stray from QHS, who was quite stubborn, strong-willed, anxious, and sometimes dog-reactive. I took him here for basic training, and though he was easily the bottom of the class, he graduated. The treat free, force free methods were beneficial, as negative techniques would have been a poor choice for that dog (arguably any dog). Classes were scheduled for an hour, but Ken was clear that he usually provided extra info and classes tended to go over by half an hour, and this proved true. He went above and beyond, even offering use of his fenced enclosure outside of class time to practice without risk of escape (my dog was a master escape artist, and my home wasn't fenced) as well as offering specific tips after class to help me with my dog's specific challenges. The changes from the first class to the last were amazing. I'd recommend Winstead Training to anyone looking to learn useful techniques to train their dogs.

Only place we will use for our dog, we drive over an hour to take her there. Our dog has severe anxiety and she loves Janice. They are very accommodating and honest people. The dogs get to run several times a day in an enclosed safe space. The kennels have comfort mats and the place is always clean. They also do dog training so know how to handle and treat the dogs. One less worry for us when we go on vacation. It's our dog's home away from home.
