Cozy B&B in a perfect location with amazing hosts! Karen and George have made their home the perfect place to stay while visiting the County. Their fantastic hospitality, amazing breakfast and beautiful bedroom/bathroom made our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back one day :)

Just want to say thank you for your wonderful hospitality at your B&B. Even when we go away we want the touch of human kindness, the warmth of friendship, the sense of welcome that lasts the for the duration. Well Karen and Jorge, you batted 1000 on those items. But now about the house, the breakfasts, the beds. Amazing. As if we were transported into the Chronicles of Narnia - Wardrobe. Magic roosters everywhere, you just can’t ignore them. So you start looking for them where they are not. And you find another. Breakfasts beyond expectation, and very comfortable beds. We had a really good time, enjoyed meeting you and the respite of sharing your home with us. A delightful 5 star home, with hosts to match. Thank you very much Lorraine & Bob September 22-24, 2020
The Runaway Rooster is a beautiful B&B with a huge property in Bloomfield. Karen and George were lovely hosts. We very much enjoyed our stay here and we have already booked our return in 2021. We commend Karen and George on their cleanliness (the room and bathroom were spotless) and attention to detail. They are very helpful and willing to go the extra mile for their guests (Ex: Offering us a bike pump or to pick us up when we got a flat tire on one of our bikes). They were also very respectful of all the COVID19 precautions and we felt very comfortable during our stay. The breakfasts in the morning were absolutely delicious with very generous portions. They had a great list of recommendations for things to do/see/eat/drink in PEC. We would 100% recommend this B&B to our friends and family.
We stayed in the guest cottage. This cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped with modern conveniences. As a housekeeping option, you can make your own meals, but breakfast is also available as "room service" and what a service it is. Karen and George cooked up two wonderful and delicious breakfasts as part of our stay, so you should certainly try it at least once! We were really taken care of and felt very welcome. The grounds are also well-kept and accessible. The cottage has it's own deck and BBQ as well. Located in Bloomfield, it is right in the middle of all the action from wineries to art studios. The cottage is very quiet and the skylights bring in lots of natural light. It is also located close to other eateries should you wish to eat out as well. We highly recommend the Runaway Rooster if you are planning a stay in Prince Edward County.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Runaway Rooster. It's a unforgettable experience. Beautiful rooms and yards. Karen and George have gone out of their way to give us suggestions, and their breakfasts are fine-dining experiences, simply delicious. Highly recommend.
Highly recommended B&B. We stayed in the 'roost'. As advertised, a beautiful room, home and property. Very clean and ready on time. Walking distance to main spots in Bloomfield, short drive to Wellington and Picton. The owners were wonderful, prepared excellent breakfast, and had many helpful recommendations for things to do. Would certainly stay again in the future!

Karen and George are exceptional hosts! This was our second stay at Runaway Rooster and everything we loved about the experience the first time was outstanding again. Beautifully situated in the town of Bloomfield, the house is thoughtfully decorated and immaculately maintained. Our room was bright, cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is always provided by Karen and George and we can't say enough about how great this first meal of the day is. We will definitely be back!!
