The Kilted Chef Team In 2019 we came up with a concept to develop a branded seasoning. We were very clear on what we wanted, but we had no idea how to go about bringing it to fruition. That's when we teamed up with Big Cove Foods. Sarah and Dave worked with us through every step of the process. From ensuring that we had the correct blend, making sure that we met all safety guidelines, helping us develop a label that was market ready, and helping us source out packaging. The partnership between the Kilted Chef and Big Cove Foods ensured that our foray into the production side of our business was a seamless transaction. We would even say that they made the process not only educational but an extremely fun one as well.

I bought one of their spices to try out and I loved it! I believe it was their Egyptian spice which had tremendous flavour. I have used it on lamb and pork when making tacos. It is an excellent buy. Great job to Big Cove foods!
I love all Big Cove Foods gourmet spices and products. I've used the spices to marinate for long or short time periods, and also season raw meats and vegetables right over the bbq or campfire, and the results are superior. This is a true time saver and the blends are so versatile and high quality you will be eating gourmet without the hassle of manually finding and preparing each herb and spice for your dish -all the work is done! I am so happy to see a spice company from Big Cove, NS enter the Ontario markets, and I bet will become a national brand. Make sure to try the Habanero Lime Jelly -this goes great on ANYTHING! These Big Cove spices are my fave!! I have the complete collection and they're so delicious and versatile - amazing on fish, meat and poultry. These are all you need in your spice drawer :). And I can't forget the caramels - addictive!

When Charboyz started as a company back in May of this year we were fortunate enough to be able to work with Big Cove Foods. On our first BBQ box launch we used a couple of their spices and they did not disappoint. On the St Louis Style Pork Ribs we used the Red Rub to marinate our ribs for 24 hours. The Red Rub had a little heat and sweet. My personal favourite mix of tastes. We also used the Mary Had A Little Lamb spice mix. Big Cove Foods recommended that we use this spice rub on grilled zucchini. We still have customers talking about that spice mix today and how delicious it made their zucchini. I’ve been using spices from Big Cove Foods for years. Maple Mustard harmonizer transforms any dish into a delicious meal. My new favourite is Mary Had a Lot of Lamb and Porcini BBQ. Your products are awesome and I am glad to see that they are now available to buy at select stores in Toronto.
