I hate writing negative reviews. I have been a long time BEST BUY NEPEAN customer...up until now. DON'T buy appliances from them. In November of 2020 I bought a new washer and dryer with installation, all parts, delivery and disposal of the old ones. The BEST BUY NEPEAN movers caused a lot of damage to the walls and actual grooves in the hardwood, didn't install them, remove or dispose the old ones. They left the new washer and dryer in the middle of a bedroom and no parts were left either. Despite paying BEST BUY NEPEAN for everything, I had to pay a contractor to repair the damage, buy installation parts, pay for installation of the new ones and disposal of the old ones. The movers also left a lot of garbage outside the property. I couldn't get through on the phone several times so I wrote a letter to the General Manager of the store. I received a call from Walid (appliance manager) and he referred me to their 1-866 line. I received a call and called them back the next day. We're talking Jan.26 2021 (now almost 2 months after purchase). I texted Walid on Feb. 2 2021 asking to speak to the GM again and still no response. The amount of time this has taken me and stress caused is unreal. Nobody at BEST BUY NEPEAN has taken ownership. Their definition of customer service is referring you to a 1-866 number and wash their hands...just brutal. They sure processed my payment very quickly!
I purchased the appliances and some of them did not fit. The delivery guys said they won't be able to take them back and dropped it in the middle of my kitchen. I scheduled a return on the same day. 14 days later, it has become my full time job to call Best Buy to try to find out when would somebody be coming to pick the appliances up. The home delivery number either does not pick up or hang up (3 calls placed in half hour, somebody picks up and hangs up without talking) on me after saying they would look into it. Never will shop here again for anything.
While the sales rep was helpful and knowledgeable the appliance manager Wahid was NOT helpful at all when we were trying to correct a TERRRIBLE delivery experience that occurred today. The delivery was not completed as per the agreement they were rude and left us in a spot where we couldn’t access i room in our home or open the doors of the new appliances (old ones left in the way). Manager Wahid thought I should take a day off work and lose out on my income so they can send someone else to finish the job. When I said not possible or proper he points to my husband and says “he can do it” NO NO NO don’t charge a customer, do half the job and then make the customers problem to take time off so you can fix when it’s easy for you. I will NOT ever purchase anything from this store because the managers are NOT HELPFUL and clearly customer satisfaction is thrown out the window once they have your money. SHOPPERS BEWARE and head to Home Depot instead for appliances
There was a screener at the door and he politely directed me to the right section. However, after getting to the cameras section I was looking for, there was no one there to help. It seems everyone was working in the computer section. No one even noticed that I was there until I left the store. Another thing that surprised me for a store like that was the amount of dust on everything. If they can't even clean the store how can they keep people safe from germs in this worrisome pandemic time? Really disappointing!
