The Kiwanis Club of Guelph has proudly sponsored Belwood Lodge and Camp for more than 50 years. The camp has provided a camp experience for kids and adults with alternative abilities. I am always amazed at how caring the staff are. Their experience varies widely but one thing is certain: They love helping the campers. As a testiment to the great job they do, there are campers who have been coming to camp for more than 25 years.

I would be cautious about this summer camp. Staff are not qualified for developmental work and work near 24/7 hours, making it a questionably safe experience. Much of the environment is not accessible. I would be hesitant sending a loved one to this camp.
My son's home away from home. Took a few summers to get to know my son, very complex needs, but really listened to me and my input to help them help him. All is pretty smooth now. Lots of patience!
Our family loves this camp. The counsellors are joyful, which is the most important thing, and I know my son is safe and off computer games for two weeks. Everyone is thoughtful about building campers capacity and appreciating their innate skills and I am grateful for that.
My brother was extremely happy with his 3 week camp experience. An upgrade to the washrooms would be nice. I would have given 5 stars if he hadn't come home without his electric razor, track pants, and new boots.
