This has been an ongoing saga. Booked in late winter to be completed at the beginning May. After many, many no shows, with an endless line of excuses, they showed up mid June. They didn't put down the base of gravel they said they would and the thickness is not what they quoted either. The edge of my driveway is wavy and not even close to straight, and didn't go to the agreed upon distance or width. For all the issues and delays they promised to return and seal the driveway before winter. I have call them 67 times now. I have 3 different numbers for 3 different people. they do not answer the phone most times, if you do happen to catch someone, they lie straight to you. "guaranteed, we will be there tomorrow!". they never show up. The last guy I called hung up on me. I am sorry to say, I am running out of options. My next step is court. My suggestion is to spend the extra hundred dollars and go with a reputable company. Don't trust a company with no address like this one. Try to locate where their office is! they don't have one and all the address online are fake.

Recieved a quote in the winter or sometime around then. Empire promised to get to me early spring, then after spring sometime over the summer. Quoted me significantly lower than others and I now expect this would be due to poor quality work based on other reviews. However, I have not seen any of their work. I have called over and over and the guy who answers just tells me he will do it within the next two weeks. Since the paving season is over or close to over he basically wasted a year of my time. I would say I have called him 20 times and spoken with him 10 times. Every time I have stressed that I don't want to wait all summer and end up not getting the work done and he has assured me he will get to me. Communication has always been positive between us and I feel I have been very patient and understanding as I'm sure work has been delayed due to pandemic measures, but I have not received a call back and the work is still not done so I am assuming the work will not be done.
Received a quote in March, just before all the COVID craziness. Finally got back to us with a date for this week (understandably late with all that is going on). Took time off work to be home and no one showed up. Called numerous times with no answer, and finally got a reply via Facebook saying that the rain the previous day pushed our scheduled time. Okay.. fair enough I guess, but no one thought to let us know. Waited for a phone call to reschedule or find out if it was happening later that day, still nothing. Their BBB reviews speak the truth, just lousy communication with their potential customers. Buyer beware. Edit: in response to the answer below, there couldn’t have been any calls to me as my wife was the contact since I was on deployment. No one returned her message or made any calls so you can stop the lies and excuses. Again, for anyone reading this, please use one of the many other reputable companies and do your research.
There was some miscommunication on my part, but these guys are very professional. They did a great job on this 8th day of May. I could not ask for anything better. I have a double driving way and the price was unbelievable. I can not sing their praises enough. I can only say I am a very very happy customer.
When we checked out their Facebook page they looked like they had great service, but we have since discovered they delete negative comments from their Facebook page so you do not get a true picture by reading the comments. This is the latest example of the customer service we have received from this company. It took forever to get our driveway done. They would promise they would be here and never show or call three times. Finally got the driveway done, they did a pretty good job and promised a free driveway sealing for our trouble. We had to get after them to set a date for that which was supposed to be today and no one showed up. I left several messages and they said they would get back to me in 10 minutes and never heard from them for hours. When they finally replied and said someone would contact me the next day, that never happened. At this point I do not know when or if they will finish the job and seal my driveway. In summary... This all started in mid May, the driveway was supposed to be done by June 15th and wasn't until July 2nd. The sealing was to be dkne a week later and as of July 27th it has not bern done.
Received my quote right away with a great price. I was told they would dig up the old gravel driveway, get rid of the weeds and lay new compressed gravel, this didn't happen. They paved the driveway and at first it looked great until puddles formed all over, weeds after 2 weeks growing through asphalt, and driveway so thin it had 2 holes that formed. It's been a complete hassle trying to get this fixed after numerous calls and no shows. Since they responded below I can't reply back. Yes, Kent put some marks in my driveway and you were supposed to seal it for me on behalf of Kent. The 2 holes that formed are due to thin pavement, you guys are well aware of this.
Our double car driveway was recently done (old one was completely dug up and leveled out prior to paving) and it looks great. Great price and they have excellent customer service!
I am a 72 year old senior, my driveway was in very bad shape which made it hard for me to get in and out of my truck, I contacted a few paving companies before I contacted Empire. One of the companies had a minimum charge of 3000.00 for a small driveway, as I am a senior and have a limited income I was very disappointed until I contacted Empire, Mike came out and was very professional, my driveway is now paved, thank you very much Empire Paving
