Great price and amazing experience. Can’t think of a better way to explore the island. Owner Keith got us set up and going with everything we needed. He was a pleasure to deal with.
We booked our van at BaseCamp very last minute and were lucky enough there was still a van available in the week we were on Vancouver Island. Keith was so kind as to postpone the trip he had planned with his family so we could get it. He even offered us the reservation he had made so we could stay on the prettiest spot on the Island (Green Point Campground) for a few nights. The old-fashioned van had everything aboard you need. If you're not used to an old car it can feel like hard work driving it, but ofcourse, that's the charm of having a Volkswagen van. We really enjoyed our time on Vancouver Island and the van felt like a little home for a week. We would definitely recommend BaseCamp to anyone who wants to explore the island.

Had a great week in a Base Camp van. Keith was a flexible and accommodating host. Base Camp is the kind of low-key operation that was just right for my family of four. Our van ran smoothly, and he was really efficient with our booking and schedule. I'm looking forward to working with him again during our next trip to the island. Other places we looked at renting were too uptight for our style; Keith's operation is a great option for families: affordable, convenient, reasonable and consistent.
