Tanner was a helpful tour guide through the Avonlea Badlands August 24, 2020. We saw the carved out valley with Hoodoo structures and many layers of rock, stone and capstone. Lovely sage bushes some flowering purple and yellow. The walk takes about an hour and 15 minutes, maybe a little longer with a larger crowd. I recommend spring or fall for those who can’t take heat because there is no shade.

Great tour and a lot of neat history from the area. It really helped appreciate the history in the area ans what small town Sask was like at the beginning of settlement.
Its such a wonderful place. Brings to live historical memories
This hold a very strong key from our past and to the importance of some of our historical buildings around the World. It also shows the important of it structure being built differently and it lasting decades past other brick plants built around the same time.
Very good museum and one of best rural ones I have been to. The price includes a guided tour with a very knowledgeable guide. If you want to go hiking to the Avonlea Badlands, make sure you call and book in advance
What a fun day trip! They have 3 building filled with local and southern Saskatchewan history. The guided tour was very informative. Check out other local events that happen at the heritage museum as well!
Pictures of family in the museum. Great guided tour. Excellent.
