So this is our experience, we had a early flight and had to take the SkyTrain to get there it made alot of unscheduled stops to let the other trains go by, apparently that happens often I didn't realize it would set behind, and when we arrive I asked for directions the entire time and showed my documents for the flight for me and my kids father. The attendant showed us where to sir and wait for our flight, after waiting and seeing everyone pretty much start to leave I asked someone else and they said we were waiting in the wrong area and I needed to go around the corner and speak to an Air Canada worker. I went over there to find out that my check in time was missed by 14 minutes and that I could Not get on the flight, and I had to take another flight @ 1:25 and that I also had to pay 315 to take it. The first staff I encountered was Tony, Roger, and Rosa, they all need to have some stress classes and how to handle because they are the ones that are supposed to be representing Air Canada!! It was their tone and what they said one the workers said to me "have a nice life" like what a thing to say and he so rude when he said it. So after many arguments and phone calls I spoke to the director finally, and after expressing how I felt and he wasn't yelling nor was I. The gentleman came back up to me and said that he waived the fees for the next flight, I was so happy and relieved we have kids to come back to and he understood that. He did mention that I should be nicer and I replied that so should your staff they are supposed to be trained for these situations and they handled it poorly. Despite everything that happened I do think they are a good airline I realize that they deal with people like me all the time but this is our lives and it means alot to try and help hope this helps viewers in making a decision because I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I did it was so stressful to think we could be stranded.
