They were able to take my intake over the phone and I got paired with a very effective counsellor (Mark) and loved the 10 sessions I did with him. Very affordable and I hope to donate to this place later in life as a thank you for discounted therapy I got. I recommend this place to everyone :)

For the last few years we have found Cares and Ross to be a valuable resource in our lives, the care and attention that Irene and Ross have provided us to be immeasurable. Intake is done with your best interest in mind to place you with the best counsellor they can and we feel very well matched with Ross. He has gone above and beyond to make sure that we feel safe, heard and validated during sessions. He provides great insight, encouragement and celebrates our personal successes. We feel blessed that we are able to continue working with him through life's various challenges.

Front desk is good with communication and getting you set up with a therapist. Saw Ross there and would not recommend, he would leave a bit earlier and switched around appointments a lot and cancelled. If you aren't able to commit scheduled times to see clients you shouldn't be listed as an available therapist. I got connected with another therapist but she was super rude on the phone as I was trying to book with her, so I decided against trying another therapist at Cares. It is based on income which a lot of people. do appreciate but I would rather pay more and not go in as often then to have therapists who aren't fully committed. I do understand therapists have a life as well and situations do arise. But it wasn't just once that situation happened- Ross rescheduled at least 3 times and left early on numerous occasions during sessions. Until I tried to find another counsellor at cares, Irene at the front desk probably talked to him. He then texted me to tell me he didn't have the time to commit. That communication would have been nice in the beginning instead of him cancelling, rescheduling and leaving early during sessions.

At various times throughout my life I have found the need to see a registered counsellor. Whether that was to do with issues surrounding loss or other challenges in life, it all depended on the circumstance at hand; but to date of the several I have seen over the years I found that Ross and Cares are near the top. I have found his listening and various feedback very helpful. The context that was provided worked to solidify the basis of other decisions and the interpretations of various situations. He dedicated his time, sometimes over the scheduled hour, to letting myself finish off what was at hand at that time. We cannot recommend him enough and will continue to use his services in the future as the needs arise.

Found this place by chance. Had a great experience with Ross. His method, style, and personality were immensely helpful. I would reccomend him in a heart beat.
