After calling this company in the morning and leaving a message, I called again getting the opportunity to speak to a representative. On the instructions of the RCMP, explained my situation to the representative, that there is a case of mistaken identity, and an uncanny similarity of vehicles in this situation. Once the representative informed me that they don't have a recovery order for my building, I asked several questions about the recovery process and how things are supposed to happen when a recovery occurs. The representative at first was accommodating, then she became short with me, telling me that she doesn't have time to answer these questions, that that no lawyer would answer questions like this, and that if the RCMP have questions, they can call her directly. I explained again that I understood that the company had no recovery order, that I was just looking for information on how recoveries worked and what the process is. She yelled at me saying that she doesn't have time for this and all my ridiculous questions. I then asked if there was anyone else I could talk to, she said no and that if I wanted more information, to have the RCMP or my lawyer call. She then hung up the phone. I honestly could not believe that the representative thought it was okay to speak to another human being like that. Her disgust for my questions was beyond evident in her tone, choice of word and the fact that she just hung up on me. I understood that this company had no order for my location, but what ever happened to having some compassion for other people? I just trying to understand a process that is completely foreign to me. Who better to ask than a company that specializes in property recovery.

Typical collection agency, false threats of putting a lien on your vehicles and continual calling. Just low ball them and say you refuse to move and they, after bluffing, will realize that something is better than nothing and accept your offer. By the time a company gives the bill to them, they are just desperate for anything.
